The show revolves around the daily life of a middle class woman who lives in one of the many chawls in Mumbai with her husband and children. Being in the business of diamonds and with his rising riches, her husband manages to bring him and his family out of the chawl to an up-market area of Mumbai Mahabar Hills. Smriti Irani (who plays the role of his wife) although very happy with the recent turn of events, is now faced with an impending dilemma. Balancing her middle class values and inhibitions she has to also portray herself with her neighbours as an equally snobbish and fashionable woman which is typical of the rich society women who live in the area. The mysterious old woman comes to meet Rahul, and asks him if all his friends have arrived. Rahul tells her that he wants to ask her something. He asks her about Rohit. The old woman tells her that he too is pushing himself towards death, just like Rohit has. The old woman makes vague statements and says that though she can see evil taking place, she cannot stop it. She advises Rahul that he and his friends should never roam around alone. Julie and Shiva have a casual conversation where Shiva admits that he used to like her. However, Julie does not take him seriously. Shiva asks her about Amit. Julie lies that Amit is just her business associate. Shiva asks if she is happy with Amit. Julie shakes her head in denial. Sanjeev's car breaks down on the way. When he attempts to repair it, Ranjeet and Anand come there and offer him help. Shiva casually goes near the river but finds large pits dug on the ground. Just then, the Joker appears. Shiva gets startled and falls into one of the pits. He makes fun of Shiva and tries to terrify him. He tells Shiva that he knows that he has become a goon in Mumbai who kills people. The Joker adds that he too has nurtured a dream of killing them all, which is now going to come true. Ranjeet makes personal remarks about Sanjeev, but Sanjeev does not recognize him. Ranjeet reveals his identity to Sanjeev. Sanjeev recognizes him.
