Simple PVC Pipe Bows Book - www.amazon.com Hey everybody, just a little video on how I make PVC pipe bows. I love giving these bows away to friends to help carry on the archery bug, and to entice them to make some self-bows with me! The bow in this video is in the same style as my favorite PVC bow, the little red one in the background when I'm cutting the nocks. It should come out to be about 44 inches when strung, and with 3/4" pipe, expect about 40 to 45 pounds at a 28" draw. For some reason, the brace height needs to be about six and a half to seven inches or the weight changes. As far as durability, that little red bow has been alive for quite some time, and has lasted at least a few thousand shots with no sign of stopping. Be careful, though, as PVC can collapse, and if you don't take care, it can degrade and break over time. Keep the bow cool, don't leave it in your car when it is really hot, and keep it unstrung when not in use. It will last if you take care of it. Check out my books!
